The workshop is run by me to get you some fantastic shots of the owls and I set everything up.
I will provide a universal flash controller which should work with most modern cameras with a central Hotshoe pin and for Sony, I have a separate remote flash trigger.
If you want to use your own flash equipment no problem bring it along and I recommend at least two Speedlights and wireless controllers or equivalent.
You will need a Lens around 300 – 500 mm or zoom of that range, I mostly use a 300ml 2.8 Nikon ( hireable) which needs a bit of a crop but allows me if I’m lucky, landing shots with wings open without clipping wings off.
500ml for portrait shots on full-frame.
The owls are active just after dark so start times will vary and I would expect you to be on-site at least 1 hour before dark to get set up.
Maximum of two people.
£150 per person single booking or two together at £100 each on weekdays and £180 single booking and £120 pp for two coming together at weekends.
These were taken whilst photographing the owls.
Duration will be a maximum of 2 hours because most activity is just after dark and they tend to fade away once they have had their fill.
Cameras must be set to single shot as there is no need to blast away, sometimes they swoop in and other times sit there for tens mins so there’s no need to get 20 shots all the same if you know what I mean.
Anyone interested contact me on 07557798948 or email me at jstanton1@sky.com with any questions.
Here are a few photos of what you can expect but as you know with wildlife nothing is guaranteed and is weather dependent so we will check the weather before booking as we ideally need it dry for the duration of the shoot.
Possibility of a Badger wandering through during the two hours but this can be extended 1 hour with additional flashes/lighting for another £25 per person. (Depending on activity)
