JAYS AROUND

With the acorn crop low this year due to a wet cold April the Jays around the wood are getter braver looking for an easy meal.

With this opportunity, I have been putting peanuts out for them to encourage them in for a photo.

Early days and they are still very shy but numbers are picking up with 5 around on Monday, the most I’ve seen in ages.

Last week I sat in the hide I use for the Owls / Buzzards etc and took a few shots as they came in for peanuts.

Here are some I took last week and hopefully more opportunities to come.
