Landscaping the pond

I have just finished planting around 180 bare rooted trees & shrubs before work over the last week and am absolutely knackered to say the least, but today I found a bit of energy today and started to landscape around the pond that I had dug a few weeks ago.
Really didn’t think I would get around to doing it until March at the earliest but just shows what you can achieve if you put your mind and back to it.
To be honest it was easier than I had expected as the soil was still soft and once I got going it just fell into place.

I started top right corner and dragged the soil from underneath the liner and placed back on top and continued in a anti clockwise direction until it was covered.

Here is the finished result, I will now leave for nature to do the rest, and see what naturally seeds, maybe plant something around the edges later on to soften it.
Its still around a foot below full but with rain forecast shouldn’t take too long till its over flowing.
Next job is to build a load of nest boxes so will let you know how I get on.
