I went to Dorset with my wife from Monday to see family so had a few days away but back at the wood today and got a few more plants in.
Very windy today and one gust manage to take down one larch and right over the road which is my responsibility to keep clear, remember my good stihl chainsaw is in for a repair, nothing major just a tune up and luckily my old saw I bought of ebay 18 months ago still worked after a bit of fiddling I got the tree cut up and cleared up off the road, very lucky otherwise it would have been bow saw job.( all afternoon)
Anyway last year I put some buddleia cutting in pots and 5 grew on so I planted them out in the butterfly garden, then some sort of wood spurge I found in my ditch and potted, they went in too, so in the end I managed to plant 8 more plants.

You can now see it slowly taking shape , with the 20 Alder buckthorn already planted and the Bluebells are pushing through.
The brambles seem to be stirring and whatever else starts to grow in the newly felled area, don’t forget this area hasn’t seen light in years and was infested with Rhododendrons.
I plan to take more cuttings from the other Buddleia bushes I have elsewhere and plant more further towards the north boundary.
The photo of the main area doesn’t look much now but should soon start to change as it gets warmer and more daylight.
I also have around 40 Teasels in pots so some of these can go in too.
