Mother and young Kingfisher with bonus Buzzard shots

With showers forecast for the day Friday I spent the morning in the pond hide and joined at 12.30 by Saleel Tambe.

In the morning before Saleel arrived I had a visit from a Kingfisher and zooming in for a look saw it was an adult female, the first one since February, and later in the after we had several visits by both the female and the young male I’ve had all week on and off.

Here are some of the shots I managed throughout the day of the Kingfishers.

Bonus too was a chance visit from a young buzzard which was almost too close to focus, several Buzzards around at the moment but I need a regular supply of roadkill to put out as bait and then they may make a few visits.
