Wednesday the 9th October with Jim Taylor

I ran a flash course with Jim Taylor from Guildford yesterday and started with TTL flash, I showed Jim how to use it without overdoing the flash.

Weather wise we had a few sunny spells which I would generaly turn it off the flash but for demonstration purposes is was good to show Jim how to balance the ambient light (Daylight) with the flash power, the aim is to fill the shadows but not overpower the subject, hopefully giving a natural feel to the photo.

We also did some manual flash to show how its done on a subject that doesn’t move in distance.
