Where did all the snow come from ?

Having woke to about half inch of snow I quickly grabbed my photography gear, not easy as it was scattered around the house and not having done much recently had to remember where I had put things.
I arrived at the wood around 8.30 and had a quick walk down the road to get some shots of the snow covered trees, really wonderful as no one was around, really quiet and peaceful.
First thing was get my wellies on and several layers of clothing before entering the wood.
It was already starting to melt and was gone by 11 but great to see and its been a very long time since I photographed anything in the snow.
When I got to my hide the feeding station was busy.

Here’s the feeding station as I arrived and having just scared of the birds I got to work setting up some perches.
