After finishing the Siskin hide I felled another larch tree with the intention of making more planks to make some sort of potting tables for the poly tunnel.
Here is me cutting the planks with the chainsaw mill.

Making planks
I knew if I just left the trays on the floor, the wood mice would nibble there way through any new shoots, so if I can make some tables and get them of the floor, I might have a chance.
I wont bore you with all the details but basically used 2 planks side by side which where then fixed into 3 x 500ml strips , then nailed on a leg either side with a 2 foot support on the bottom to steady them.
(I think you can get the general idea from the photo, no fancy dovetails joints but plenty of 4 inch nails)
Anyway here is the finished job with around 250 seedling each of Viper bugloss, Borage & Greater knapweed (planted by me & my grandson Charlie last Sunday) which I intent to plant around the wood to self seed eventually and encourage butterflies etc.
Oh then I made a water catcher – photo to follow as I forget to take and totally knackered so off home for a hot bath.
