Yesterday (Saturday the 28th December) the weather was really overcast so with only one guest on site I joined them and give him a quick introduction into fill-flash photography as he wanted to learn and had his kit with him.
To say it was dull was a bit of an understatement and to reach a speed of 1/640 I was using iso of 5000 not something I would usually do but with a bit of fill-flash, the day wasn’t wasted.
I am quite pleased how they came out and obviously a bit of noise but still usable, don’t forget these on my site are all less than 100kb to keep the speed up, so not full size.
Kit used was my Nikon full-frame camera with 500ml f4, sb900 flashgun with Magmod magbeam flash extender ( Modified ), flash extension bracket.
What do you think of the results using a bit of flash, anyone wants to learn how just get in touch at jstanton1@sky.com
