Yesterday with no one in I decided to have a few hours myself to try and get some images of the newly fledge woodpeckers, well one so far with hopefully more any day now and some Jay shots as they are very shy and I dont often get many chances to photograph them.
The Jays last year failed at their first attempt as we where in that horrible heat wave and I didnt see any young until September and by then there was a few acorns around and they seem to be hard wired to the acorns so stopped coming in.
Hopefully they seem to be feeding young so they loose a bit of their shyness as they have mouths to feed and are on the lookout for food.
Any how this is what i captured from two hides 9.30 – 1.30 .
