A few hours in the rain

The forecast today was sunshine and showers for the wood, unfortunately no one  told the forecast as it rained all the time I was there.

Fortunatleyall my hides are 100% waterproof so it was quite nice watching the birds going about their business even through the downpour, at least my water butts are full again, my glass always half full.

Now we have four young woodpeckers and it looks like there are two nests as the adults are still taking food away but time will tell.

Today I had a surprise visitor in the form of a young Stock dove which came to feed a couple of times.
