WOODLAND BIRDS
I had a late last-minute cancelation on Tuesday night just as I was about to leave, so being a glass-half-filled guy, I jumped at the chance to have a go myself and dying to try out my new baby – Nikon Z9
I arrived at 7 pm and got set up straight away, buried some peanuts and dog food, and put out a snack for the tawny owl.
I didn’t have to wait long and just before dark, an owl appeared on the post followed by one then two, and later four badgers, the most I’ve seen in years.
I took a few shots and experimented with the Z9 autofocus system but found in the dark that single or small dynamic worked best.
Here are some from the short session.
Hides are open daily and Badger & Owl photography is available, just contact me for details.
