BADGERS AND OWLS SHOWING WELL
I have not spent much time in the evening at the wood lately, but with lots of requests to photograph the owls and badgers, I spent a few hours there to see what was around.
Arriving at seven o’clock, I set up the flashes and my LED. The LED lights up the area so you can see what’s going on and allows me to focus.
I baited the trap with some peanuts and a dead mouse and waited for night to fall.
To my surprise, a badger wandered in at dusk and started feeding on the peanuts and dog biscuits.
later, as darkness fell, I could hear the young Tawny’s calling for food, and I knew the male was close by and focused on the post.
Shortly after it flew in and grabbed the mouse, I got my first photo with many more of the badger and owl before I packed up around 10.30 and went home.
Here are some from the session, and just contact me if you fancy a go.
