Bonus Kingfisher

I was with one of my guests, Gary as he was just packing up I heard a Kingfisher in the pond, we quickly got down there and sneaked in gingerly to see a female Kingfisher sitting proudly in front of us on a perch.

Gary sneaked his camera under the netting and sharted shooting whilst I dashed back to the car to get my camera, 5 minutes later and we were both firing away as she dived and came back with not one but two minnows and when she went to bash them dropped one and then tossed the other one down her throat.

Later she managed another minnow and then a dragonfly larva.

let’s hope she visits more regularly.
