Driving to the woods I saw a dead Deer lying on the verve, I quickly spun around and positioned my truck so I could easily lift into the back.
Arriving at the woods I got ready for people arriving, once they were settled I had the deer in a wheelbarrow and placed it on the mound where I photographed the Badgers.
I have seen in the past where the Buzzards struggle to open up the carcass so with this in mind I cut a couple of openings so they could get at the meat.
Before I left I placed a trail camera watching over the scene and left.
The next morning, after getting set up I went to check the camera and as I approached a Buzzard took off from the Deer, getting excited I went and got my camera and got myself quickly set up in the hide, using additional camo netting around my lens.
Normally they don’t return but within the hour it sat in the pine opposite scanning for danger.
Finally it dropped down next to the Deer and was mobbed instantly by a group of magpies, its a lot bigger but was definitely intimidated by the magpies.
Then it walked over and jumped on the Deer and started feeding.
Here are some from the sessions.
