Male Kingfisher visiting daily.

Over the last two weeks, a young male Kingfisher has been visiting, probably daily but haven’t been in as much due to my wife having an opp, but every day I have been in I’ve seen it.

I don’t advertise my little pond as a Kingfisher hide because I’m quite a way from the nearest river so it’s quite a bonus to attract these stunning little birds and not guaranteed as with most wildlife.

For the last two years from late autumn, my pond has been visited by a female which may still turn up but for now, it’s lovely to see this young male catching fish and posing for the camera.

I spent Tuesday in the hide from 9 am till 1.45 and had several visits even though I had some real heavy downpours.
