Nest box building and finishing the feeders

With the weather drizzly over the weekend I set my attention to finishing my newly made feeders, all make from left over bits, they are now painted and hold around 6 times my standard ones so don’t need filling every day or so giving me more time to get on with other jobs.

I then got on with erecting 2 tit boxes I had made earlier on and then made 2 open faced box’s for Robins or Blackbirds, here is my first efforts.

Same design as before with 2 modification, the front is left open with a 4 inch up stand above the floor and a new design when cutting which instead of cutting all 4 sides leaves the back section attached to the floor, anybody wanting a more detailed description just contact me.
Then I attach metal banding which is used for fixing window frames to block work etc. and then screw this to its host tree.
I’m planning on making loads more so still fiddling with the design to see which works best and cannot wait to see one being used.
