A nice surprise today was seeing this adult male kingfisher, a new bird at the wood, last year we had a juvenile male followed a month later by its mum.
Today the light at midday was very harsh as it didn’t arrive until just after 1 pm and I had to be careful not to blow the whites.
It stayed for about 45 minutes before leaving and I managed a few shots to celebrate hopefully their return.
