I have been doing two shoots a week with the owls for the last few months, either with guests or on my own, and can this week see a real change in their behavior.
The male still comes for the food but is reluctant to feed them as if to make them get it themselves, which up to now they still have not taken a free offering, but very close.
I’ve seen at least two owlets but thought I could hear a third in the darkness and strangely enough not seen the female since and of March.
Is she still there catching live prey around the wood and feeding another?
Here are some from last night and later my first photos of the youngsters.

Taken in the shadows and a big crop.
On the whole, they are doing well and constantly call for food, and flying freely around the wood with strong wing beats.
Keep safe my friends.
